FAQ

  • Will the inks change colour as they dry?
As these are natural products there is a change in colour as the inks dry. Occasionally this can be quite dramatic. We will try to give as accurate a representation of the colour in the photographs of the product.
  • Are the inks lightfast?
As the inks are a natural product we can not guarantee that they will remain lightfast. Products with tannins such as oak gall will be much more stable than flower or plant based products.
  • Will I be able to buy the same colour again?
Our inks and fabrics are sold in limited editions. Once a batch has been sold we can not guarantee the same colour again. We do however keep detailed recipes and can certainly attempt a specific colour should you request. Please email for more information.
  • How long does the ink take to dry?
Depending on how you apply the ink can affect the drying time. We try to develop inks that dry relatively quickly but it will depend on the paper you are using and how thickly you apply the ink.
  • Can I buy fabric by the metre?
We are currently dyeing the fabric in limited edition batches. This accounts for the size of the fabric currently on sale. If you would like to work with larger scale pieces of dyed fabric please don't hesitate to email us and we can discuss your ideas.
  • How long is delivery?
Please allow 4 days for UK delivery. We will endeavour to get your orders to you as quickly as we can.
